About Us

Our Story

We are a local congregation dedicated to worshiping God and serving our community.

The current Ridgeway church of Christ came into existence sometime in 1885.  The congregation first met in a small building in Lick Branch, AR (about 3 miles west of our current location) and was called the Lick Branch church of Christ.  Somewhere around 1950 the building at Lick Branch was dismantled and moved to our current location in Ridgeway.  Click the link above to watch a 13-minute video where Bill Arnold recounts the entire history.

Over the years, God has blessed our family with growth, and we are grateful for every person He has sent our way.

As part of God’s Church, our primary reason to meet together within the church building is to focus our attention on God to receive His blessings and inspiration.  We worship Him in spirit and in truth.

 We strive to help people find and follow Jesus Christ our Lord.

 We have no creed but Christ.  We wear no name but Christian.

Study of the Bible is a necessity as we believe it is the inspired word of God and man’s path to everlasting salvation.  We believe that when we follow the Bible only, we will be Christians only.

We believe that Christian fellowship is a key part in our becoming pleasing to God.  Encouragement from fellow Christians gives us strength each day.

We are people who love God, His son Jesus, His Spirit, His Word and all people.  We believe that the church is the people who are Christians.

Finally, and above all, we wish to obey God in all things and reflect His love to all mankind.

Just as Christ came to serve, those who follow Him are to serve as well.  We endeavor to be servants of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
